His playful enthusiasm makes it easy for you to just enjoy the movement and have some fun (“Missed a step? No problem. Just go back to our ‘home base' move and pick it up again”). The Disco series gets you groovin' to 70s dance favorites. The African section features a great drumbeat and moves like “African can can” and “safari shuffle.” The Latin section ranges from classic mambos to “Latin lover.” Each segment ends with a short, high-intensity aerobic or toning “burst.”

Billy Blanks Jr. continues in his father's fit footsteps (Tae Bo) with his own unique dance fitness routines. Dance with Me: Groove & Burn is an excellent, easy, fun fitness routine for anyone of any fitness level, and Blanks's enthusiasm is infectious. Dance with Me: Groove & Burn lets the user mix and match from three challenging, fun routines--classic disco, African, and Latin dance, with gentle warm-up, stretch, and cool-down segments too. A novice exerciser should probably begin with the warm-up and just one of the 13-minute dance routines. As you get more fit and want to up your challenge level, add more or do all three routines. Blanks also includes an excellent, brief tutorial about how to breathe during cardio workouts--a pointer so important it's hard to believe more fitness experts don't cover it. There is also the option to turn off the instruction so that once you've learned the moves, you can just dance along with the folks on the screen--almost as if you're in your own private dance studio. Blanks and his co-teacher and wife, Sharon, also include important arm-toning exercises for an all-over workout.
