The FIRM: Time Crunch Workout with Susan Harris & Kai Soremekun

An original Firm program that uses a standard 8-inch step. Released in 1990, it's also the shortest and the only video taught by two instructors. Nearly the entire workout blends the fat-burning aerobics right into the body-sculpting (usually working multiple muscle groups at once). Sometimes it's fast-moving with lighter weights; other times it's slower-paced with heavier weights. They also alternate step and non-step exercises (often using the step to make the lower-body toning more challenging). The final segment is pure body-sculpting, mostly floorwork. Like all the original Firms, you get jazz-style music, an elegant set and high quality production.

Susan Harris and Kai Soremekun alternate cardio and weights to get maximum results fast. The fast-slow warm-up is followed by a fast-paced giant cardio-sculpt set to burn fat and tone all major muscle groups. Supine core precedes a final towel stretch. Complementary leads, Susan and Kai display accuracy, precision and athletic ability in a variety of activities. You will never watch the clock during this engaging workout.

Requires a step and two sets of dumbbells (e.g. 3 & 10 lb); ankle weights are optional.
