Three rounds of traditional kickboxing and three rounds of fighter-style boxing — “lose pounds in six rounds!” It’s all designed to keep you mentally engaged with precisely choreographed moves and music . Each segment builds in intensity. For example, the first kickbox interval has basic, mostly low-impact moves. The third sequence includes hops and “jumping front kicks.” The boxing series has a similar progressive format. In addition, it’s cued to feel like a real fight. You’ll be throwing punches — and eluding your opponent with boxers’ footwork — all cued to “win the match!” The program ends with abdominal floor exercises.

Weighted gloves or 1 lb. dumbbells are optional.

RapidFire 4 is the fourth in the RapidFire series of kickboxing workouts created by sixth degree black belt, AFAA-certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer, Susan Chung. She is the co-owner/operator of Bruce Chung’s Total Fitness Studio in Harrison, NY where she teachers a variety of fitness classes.

RapidFire 4 includes a basic modifier, pre-mixes an a “customize your workout” option along with Warm-up, 3 Rounds of Kickboxing, 3 Rounds of Boxing, Core/Abs and Stretch.
